Nancy J. Spidle

Nancy J Spidle, 80 of Carmel, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018.  Nancy was born October 2, 1937 in Flint, MI to the late Albert and Eleanor Hamilton.  She attended Michigan State University.

Nancy led a young couples Bible class, participated in many small groups, neighborhood Bible studies and was heavily involved in supporting missionaries here and throughout the world. She was very active in Bible Study Fellowship, serving in many leadership roles for over 30 years.  Nancy was a committed member of Faith Missionary Church. Over the years Nancy maintained close relationships with those she served with, and was a mentor to many along the way.  Nancy sustained a strong bond with cousins, nieces and nephews, in-laws and her siblings whether they were close by or far away.  She deeply loved and cared for her best friends and her family.  Nancy was welcoming to many that were in need of fellowship and companionship.  She was very involved with her grandkids and treasured the time she spent attending all their sporting events, dance recitals, choir concerts, plays, and culinary events.  She stayed in close contact with her grandchildren and they truly loved spending time with her.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 3:30 to 6pm on Friday, January 19 at Faith Missionary Church, where a memorial service will begin at 6:00 pm.

Nancy was the widow of William “Bill” Spidle.  She is survived by her children, Melissa J. (husband, Todd) Morton, Chad R. Spidle and Abby K. (husband, Mark) Breedlove; grandchildren, Dylan, Cameron, Lydia, Hamilton, Gibson, Ellie, Charlie and Macey; sister, Pat Colangelo; brother, Richard Hamilton.  She was preceded in death by her son, Scott C. Spidle.
