Nancy Ann Hubbard, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away May 2, 2011 at Methodist Hospital.
Nancy was born August 30, 1932 in Columbus, OH to the late Dana and Christine Vogt.
She retired from Methodist Hospital after working as a unit secretary for 31 years, where she was known to many of her dear friends and colleagues as “Mother Hubbard.”
She is survived by her sister, Diane Siders, Worthington OH; daughters, Dawn (Jon) Streich, Mundelein IL, Debbie (Kevin) Dolan, Marietta, GA, Jo Ann (Tom) Dent, Kohler WI, Jami Hammond, Riverview FL, and son Jim Hubbard, Indianapolis.
She is further survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Dana, Quinn, Brennan, Allison, Colleen, Dorothy, and April; great-granddaughter, Dalani, and her Methodist Hospital extended family of friends.
She was a breast and colon cancer survivor and will be remembered for both her courage and unfailing sense of humor. The family thanks her neighbors and friends and the staff of Clarian/IU Hospice and Yellow Rose for their help and caring support.
Memorial Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center - Broad Ripple, where friends are invited to gather two hours prior to the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial gifts take the form of donations to the Julius Goodman Fund of Methodist Health Foundation or to a favorite charity of the donor’s choice.
