Nancy Williamson Forbush

Nancy Williamson Forbush, 83, passed away on June 27, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on April 4, 1942, in Los Angeles, California, to the late John and Dorothy Williamson.

Nancy was an only child and was adored by her parents. Nancy was smart and excelled academically and was active in student government in high school.

She continued her education at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics and she was a proud member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority

Nancy played many roles throughout her life. She was a flight attendant for Western airlines, she worked for PGE out of college. She got married and moved to Monterey, California. She was a stay at home mom and an active volunteer. After divorcing, she went back to work as an investment manager. In the late 80’s she relocated to Indianapolis, went into sales and marketing for a developer and briefly into real estate. She started her own business to help people downsize from their homes during the later stages of their lives.

She loved playing tennis, watching tennis and making friends around the sport. She volunteered for over 20 years with the RCA tennis championships in Indianapolis. She found a real passion later in life painting rocks, watercolor and loved to be able to share her crafts with others.

If she had an overlying passion, it was about meeting people and finding out about what mattered to them and helping connect them to others.

Nancy had the ability to make lasting friendships with people wherever she found herself. Through her professional relationships, years of playing tennis, volunteering for local sporting events, spiritual pursuits, art and crafts, book clubs, bridge, antiques, exercise, caring for her parents… Nancy found friends. And she was always good at staying in connection as years passed.

Nancy cherished her family above all. 😊 The love she poured into her family was evident, and she took immense joy in the abundant blessings of her loving granddaughter.

Nancy's determined spirit, wise loving nature and quick sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her and caring for her.

Nancy is survived by her children, Amy (Kathryn) Forbush and Andrew (KJ) Forbush; and her granddaughter Ashlynne.
