Nancy Christie

Nancy Christie, age 85, passed away on December 16, 2025. Nancy was born on May 13, 1940, in Indianapolis, to the late Ernest and Dorothy Grimes. Preceded in death by her sister, Julia Patricia Gastino, husband, Richard E Christie and survived by her brother Ernie Grimes. The greatest joy of Nancy’s life was her marriage to the love of her life, Richard Christie. They were married on April 3, 1962. Together they raised four children, each of whom was the pride of her heart: Son, Tim Christie, Daughter-In-Law, Shcara Christie, Daughter, Tammy Christie, Son, Randy Christie, Daughter-In-Law, Angie Christie, Son, Ricky Christie and Daughter-In-Law Sandy Christie. Nancy’s love grew even deeper with the arrival of her grandchildren. She was a devoted and deeply loving grandmother to nine grandchildren. TJ, Megan, Sean, Christie, Mackenzie, Danyelle, Kaci, Blake, Austin. She was also blessed with twelve great-grandchildren, Cameron, Kaylee, Michael, Delanie, Sutton, Lucas, Shay, Genevieve, Estelle, Emerie, Odin, and Leo, who brought her great joy. Nancy was a devoted follower of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her home was a place of warmth, and love. Nancy took in and cared for many. She will be remembered for her faith, her generosity and her unwavering love for her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the family she cherished so dearly.

Visitation will be Monday, December 22, 2025, from Noon to 2 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Funeral service will be Monday, December 22, 2025, at 2 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
