Nancy Jane Capps, age 78, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Martinsville, Indiana with her loving family at her side. Nancy was the daughter of Thelma and James Wallace of Indianapolis, Indiana. For the past 50 years, Nancy lived in her home that she loved on South Meridian St.in Indianapolis, Indiana until a year ago. She leaves behind her loving husband, James Kenneth Capps. Nancy also had many sisters and brothers-in-law who have always admired her. She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Harold) Netherton, John (Kelly) Russell, Sarah (David) Wyatt, Jimmy Capps, her two sisters, Erlene Stephenson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Cindy Abell-Shirley of Bloomington, Indiana, her grandchildren, Joseph, Chelsey, Stephanie, Jessica, Trevor, Haleigh, Raechel, Little Jimmy, Vaughn, Milan, Nikki, her seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Her wonderful family speaks volumes of the Mom, Wife, Sister, and the woman she was. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with the funeral service on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, 2pm. Pastor Monte Martin will officiate the funeral service. She will be laid to rest at Fairfield Friends Cemetery in Camby, Indiana.
