Nancy C. House
was born to Christopher Columbus House and Annie Patterson House on August 20, 1927. As a little girl, it is reported that she loved to work in the garden alongside her mother, where they grew flowers and vegetables. Her love for that activity was reflected in how she enjoyed fresh veggies throughout her life.
Nancy attended and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. For many years, she enjoyed meeting with her brother, Ansel, and his family for Saturday morning coffee. As a long-term employee, she retired from the U.S. Postal Service after more than forty years of dedicated service.
Nancy departed this life on Palm Sunday, March 24th, 2013 at the age of eighty-five years. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, brothers Herbert Miller and Charlie Miller, brother Ansel (Jerldene) House, her sister Josephine (Phillip) Linden, brother Calvin House, and brother, Secil House. She leaves to cherish her memory several nieces, nephews, and many friends. She will be greatly missed.
