Nancy Ann Walsh

Nancy A. (Galuppo) Walsh passed away peacefully on September 8, 2022, at the age of 91 with her family at her side. Nancy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 2, 1931, to the late Nicholas and Marie (Leo) Galuppo. She married William E. Walsh in 1956. Bill preceded her in death, as did her brother Lawrence Galuppo.

Mrs. Walsh enjoyed a 40-year career as a registered nurse. Most of this was in emergency department nursing, during which she helped establish the emergency room department at Westview Hospital and was its first manager. She retired from nursing to spend time with and enjoy her granddaughters, whom she dearly loved. In recognition of her work, she received the Sagamore of the Wabash award in 1988.

Nancy leaves to cherish her loving memories, Laurence (Kelda) Walsh and two granddaughters, Lucia and Madeline Walsh.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022, from 11:30-12pm at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church 6000 West 34th Street in Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12pm. She will be buried at Calvary Catholic Cemetery 435 West Troy Ave Indianapolis.
