Myrtle Perkins

Myrtle Perkins 85, of Speedway, passed away Nov. 17, 2012. She was born in Indianapolis on April 4, 1927 to Lawrence and LaNora (Giddens) Lee. Myrtle graduated from Howe High School in 1945. She was active in Girl Scouts and was a pack leader in Cub Scouts. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed embroidery, needle point and crochet, making frequent gifts for family and friends. She was also active in gardening and travel. Myrtle was a longtime member of Fairfax Christian Church and of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Charles and Lawrence, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Robert and a son Frank (Vicki) and several close nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan Floral Park- 425 N. Holt Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46222. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery.
