Mr. Norris Edwin Wade

Norris E. Wade, age 99, passed away peacefully at The Restoracy of Carmel on 07/09/2026. He was born on December 9, 1926, to Foy and Dona Wade. Norris was a proud graduate of Pike High School and Purdue University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture Studies. He served in the Army Air Corps and had a successful career in agriculture, managing several garden centers before retiring from Farm Bureau.

Norris will be remembered for his loving and positive spirit, never one to complain through life's inevitable challenges; he only ever exuded gratitude. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and jewelry making. He found joy wintering in Texas, trading Indiana's snow for sunshine. The warm community and cherished friendships he built there brought him great happiness.

Norris is survived by his sons, Dennis (Pam) Wade of Florence, SC, Chuck (Debbie) Wade of Chapin, SC, and daughter Ann (Steve) Haley of Cicero, IN. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and his sister Wava Bauer. Norris was preceded in death by Jean, his beloved wife of 60 years and second wife Willie who brought him companionship later in life and his son John, and sister Alice.

A celebration of life will be held at New Hope Christian Church in Whitestown, IN. on August 15th with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 followed by a service. In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Norris Wade to the church, where he was a founding member.
