Francis Kudjoe Kpodo, 71, passed on April 24, 2016 in Indianapolis, Indiana,after a brief illness.
Francis was born 11th September 1944 at Anloga, Ghanain West Africa, to Godfred Amuzuvi Duho Kpodoand Nyekoewoawor Toklo.
He joined the Ghana Armed Forces from 1960 to 1982, where herose in ranks to Warrant Officer Class 1.
Francis migrated to America in 1984 and obtained anAssociates Degree in Computer Science and later obtained a Bachelor of ScienceDegree, Computer Science, in 2004 at the age of 60. He worked for the State Department of Indiana,where he retired in 2005, as a Senior Application Systems Analyst.
Francis was an active member of NorthUnitedMethodistChurch.
His interests include: family time, playing music anddancing, watching movies and soccer, reading and surfing the internet.
Francis is survived by his wife Bessie Kudjoe, sister GraceAmi Kpodo (Ghana), son Elvis Kpodo (Comfort Agbodaze), daughters LovelaceKudjoe / Francesca Kudjoe O’Connor (Selina Yetiekpor), Joella Kudjoe (Paula Adjakey),Melissa Kudjoe (Melinda), grandchildren: Godwin, Rosemary, Etornam, Elikplim(Elvis); Tyriq, Tihjs, Troy Jr, Tarrus (Francesca); Joe (Joella), Mohamed,Ousman, Aicha (Elvis); daughter-in-law Yakha Kpodo (Elvis), son-in-law Troy O’Connor(Francesca), stepchildren Irene Jameson, Stephanie Journey, Carmele Starks,Oscar Journey Jr. and extended family members and friends.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents, brother RobertKpodo and sister Vincentia Kpodo.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 11:00 a.m.until 1:00 p.m. at North Meridian United Methodist Church 3808 N. Meridian St.Indianapolis, IN 46208. Funeral servicewill follow at 1:00 p.m.
