Mr. Fay Shockley, Jr.

Fay Shockley, Jr. 90, of Beech Grove, passedaway August 5, 2016 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis. He was born December 26, 1925 in TiptonCounty, Indiana to Fay Daniel and Jennie M (Orr) Shockley. He was a member of the First Christian Churchin Beech Grove for more than 50 years and in 1961 was a founding member of thePhilidelphians Service Group. He retiredas Manufacturing Manager from L & E Engineering in January 2013 after morethan 50 years service.

Fay was united in marriage May 28, 1949 toPatricia Jean (Watson) and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Diane Spleth and her husband Rick, DougShockley and his wife Diana, David Shockley and his wife Lisa and DanielShockley and his partner Albert DiBenedetto; grandchildren, Douglas Booher(Sarah), Elizabeth Blunk (Greg), Ricky Shipley, Jr., Joshua Shipley (Mandy),Brandon Shipley (Emily) and Nathan Shipley (Erica), Hannah Shockley (WesMesser), Madison Shockley, Delaney Shockley, Andrew Williamson (Candice Tate),Brenton Williamson (Kori), Evan Williamson (Lauren) and Geordan Williamson; great-grandchildren,Jacob, Katie, Emma, Parker, Kaydee, Quinton, Brandon, Ryan, Ava, Lukas,Jackson, James and Teddy; also survivingis his sister Marilyn Welliver.

Fay was preceded in death by his parents;brothers, Leroy and Guy Everett Shockley; sisters, Mary Kay Orr and BeatriceFlick; and great-grandchildren, Nora and Jordan Shipley.

The family is greatly appreciative to St. FrancisHospital Geriatric Unit and to the Franciscan Hospice House for their lovingcare.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM, Tuesday,August 9, 2016 at the First Christian Church in Beech Grove, 75 N. 10^thAve., Beech Grove, IN 46107. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 AMuntil the service time on Tuesday.
