Mr. Morris Reynolds, Jr. the son of the late Morris, Sr. and Carrie Reynolds, was born August 9, 1937, in Sunflower County, Mississippi. He was the second of ten children born to this union.

Morris was baptized at Mount Calvary Church, Sunflower County, Mississippi.

Morris attended Public School in Indianapolis, where he received his primary and secondary education at School #37 and Crispus Attucks High School.

On April 29, 1994, Morris was United in Holy Matrimony to Debra L. Roberts. To this union, they blended 10 children together.

Morris was employed at Sharp Ford, Indianapolis and later retired in 1993 from Eli Lilly, Indianapolis.

Morris affectionately known as “June” to family, enjoyed traveling and riding motorcycles. Morris would often vacation in Tunica, Mississippi trying his luck at a casino! Morris loved to attend family gatherings and would show his amazing grilling skills. The ribs “as tender as a mother’s love!” Morris was an exceptional carpenter. His woodwork includes building various furniture items and a deck on the house.

Morris was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sons, Tyrone, Sr., Morris III, and Kevin Reynolds; 3 brothers, Alfred, William, and Jack Reynolds; a sister, Joyce Rucker and 2 grandsons.

Morris Reynolds, Jr. departed this life Friday, June 7, 2024, at the age of eighty-six years, 9 months, and 29 days.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife, Debra L. Reynolds;  a son, Jeffery Reynolds of Nashville, TN; 3 daughters, Jeana Jeffers and Debbie Reynolds of Indianapolis, IN, Nicole Reynolds of Douglasville, GA; 3 stepchildren, Shavon (Paul), Sharon (Robert) and Eric of Indianapolis, IN; a brother, Charles Reynolds of Indianapolis, IN; 3 sisters, Doris Reynolds and Mary (Lucius) Perry of Indianapolis, IN Gloria Reynolds of Marietta, GA; a brother-in-law, James (Faye) Smartt of Atlanta, GA; a sister-in-law, Angela M. Smartt of Xenia, OH; 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
