Morris R. Fishburn
85, peacefully went to be with Jesus on January 28, 2018, at his home in Noblesville, IN.
A native of Culver, IN, he moved to Indianapolis at the age of 18 to pursue a career in the Tool and Die business. Morrie also served in the Army at Fort Riley, Kansas (1951-1953). He returned to Indianapolis to continue his passion working in the Tool and Die industry, and to raise a family. In 1983 Morrie established Morris Mold & Machine Co., a family owned business that still thrives today.
In 2003, Morrie returned to Culver, IN, to reside for 10 years, bringing him a renewed sense of life, and love for his country home and small horse farm. In 2013 he moved to Noblesville, IN to spend his last years with family and longtime friends.
A fun loving, gregarious man, Morrie loved life to the fullest, and he never met a stranger he couldn’t befriend. Morrie will be lovingly remembered by many but especially by his wife of 16 years, Christine McNamara; his children Ray (Tracey), Paul (Joanne), Kathy; stepchildren Eric Grimes and Megan (Mike) Phillips; sister, Nancy McFarland; 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and many wonderful relatives and friends. Morrie was preceded in death by son Steve and Mike, and ex-wife, Billie.
A memorial service honoring Morrie’s life will be held Saturday, February 3rd, at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road. Visitation will be held from 12-2, with the Memorial Service to start at 2.
