Mitsue Riccardo

Mitsue (Horiuchi) Riccardo, 75, passed away peacefully at her home in McCordsville, Indiana, on December 20, 2025. She was born on April 5, 1950, in Shizuoka, Japan, to Takashi and Mariko Horiuchi. 

Mitsue was the beloved and devoted wife of Richard Riccardo, who preceded her in death. Together, they shared nearly 56 years of marriage--a partnership filled with love, loyalty, and devotion. They were inseparable in life, and now she has returned to him. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Takashi Horiuchi, and her brother, Harou Horiuchi. 

Mitsue's greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Kimberly (Don) and Dion (Dina), and her granddaughter, Molly, who brought her much happiness. Her love also reaches across the ocean to her family in Japan, including her sister, Keiko, her brother Shinya, and their children and grandchildren, all of whom she held close in her heart. 

Mitsue will be remembered for her steady presence and dedication to her family. She devoted her life to her role as a homemaker, caring for her children and maintaining a welcoming home. She shared her talents as a seamstress, skilled in the culinary arts, and a beautician, often using her abilities to help and care for others. Her generosity will be remembered by those who knew her.
