Miriam Elaine Rossmanith

Miriam E. Rossmanith peacefully took her final steps, into God’s loving arms, Sept. 23, 2022.
She passed away at her Indianapolis home with her husband and daughter near her side.
Miriam was born May 21, 1939, in Ligonier, IN, daughter of Frederick and Mary Targgart. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Arthur; survived by a sister Marilyn and a brother Harold.
Surviving, in addition to her beloved husband of 62 years, Fred, are their sons Tim (Gwen) of Las Vegas, NV and Tom (Robin) of Jacksonville, FL; their daughter Twila (Joseph) of Louisville, KY; and 7 grandchildren, Ross, Krystiana, Alana, Caroline, Andre, Aria, and Tessa.
Miriam, along with her husband Fred, was a member and leader within the First Reformed Church of DeMotte, IN for over 37 years. She shared her musical gifts and skills throughout that time as a pianist, vocalist, handbell choir member, and director/organizer of many facets of the music ministry of that congregation. After moving to Indianapolis several years ago, she continued to participate as pianist, vocalist, and in the handbell choir in the community of Robin Run Village.
Miriam was a lifelong teacher of music education for over 30 years.
Visitation will be Friday, September 30, 2022, from 12-2pm at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd West Drive Indianapolis, with entombment following. A Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 10am at Robin Run Village Chapel 5354 W.62nd Street Indianapolis.
