Milo Woldahl Sr., passed away peacefully at home in Avon, Indiana, on April 27, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on July 18, 1937, in Gary, Indiana, Milo's life was a tapestry woven with the threads of kindness, dedication, and unwavering support.
Milo was not just a father and grandfather; he was a constant source of encouragement and comfort for all who knew him. He is survived by his significant other, Rita Reed, and his children: Ken (Wanda), Michael (Terri), Mark (Marcia), and Karen. His legacy continues through several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who carry forward his spirit of generosity and warmth.
Throughout his life, Milo showcased a personality of fun and helpfulness, embodying the true essence of community spirit. He had a zest for life that was reflected in his hobbies and interests—whether cheering on the Chicago Cubs, nurturing his garden, enjoying the great outdoors while camping, or engaging in friendly competition during bridge games, he brought joy and laughter to those around him.
Milo spent the majority of his working life in the mortgage industry where, as he would say he was "overworked and underpaid". He approached every challenge with diligence and integrity, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike. But his true passions were his family and the Cubs.
The memory of Milo Woldahl will be celebrated at a visitation on May 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, both held at Speedway, located at 2950 N High School Rd, Indianapolis, IN. A burial will take place afterward at West Ridge Park Cemetery, 9295 West 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN, at 3:30 PM.
He joins his parents, Phillip and Minnie Woldahl, as well as his brother Palmer, sister Phillis, and late wife Marcia, in eternal rest.
His door was always open, and he was always there with a helping hand, he will be sadly missed.
