Miles Johnson

Miles D. Johnson, 91 of Carmel, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Miles was born June 3, 1920 in Petersburg, ND to the late Peter E. and Charlotte Cleophas Johnson. He was a graduate of Beloit College and served in the US Army during WWII. Miles retired as a Mortgage Investment Manager for Prudential Insurance Company after 30 years. Miles was a member and former deacon and elder at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Carmel Lions Club and Mohawk Hill Men’s Golf League. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, June 24 at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church 1605 E. 106thStreet Indianapolis, IN 46280, where friends and family are invited to gather from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Miles is survived by his wife of 64 years, Muriel Palmer Johnson; children, Craig (wife, Kathy), Arthur (wife, Julie), Paul (wife, Rene) Johnson; grandchildren, Thad, Kristin, Melissa, Trisha, Courtney, Christopher, Samuel; great grandchild, Brianna, Will and John Palmer. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Arland, Almon, Philip and Russell Johnson. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Carmel Lions Club.
