Miles Berkeley Craig
Miles Berkeley Craig, age 64, of Bloomington, IN, passed away on March 27, 2022. Miles was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 27, 1958, to parents Robert Martin and Cedona Sue (Rhodes) Craig. Miles participated in many theatre productions at JR Civic Theatre and in high school. Miles enjoyed photography, gardening, and he loved animals, nature, and being outdoors. He was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington.
A life-long learner, Miles earned his Bachelor of Science in 2003 from Oakland City University. He then began his work on a Masters in the field of hospital administration and human resources.
Miles had a long military career. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. After 9/11 he served in the Army as a 1st LT at 7th ID and then in the 101st Airborne. He also served with the U.S. Army National Guard attached to the 5th Special Forces Group.
Miles is survived by his parents Robert and Cedona Craig; siblings, Alicia Frances King (Raymond), Joyce Ellen Craig (Mark Stevenson), and Norman ‘Norm’ Craig; nieces and nephews: Melissa Center, Logan Baker, Neil Craig, and Kathleen Lich; his cat, Jesse; as well as other extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on April 15 at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road in Indianapolis, where friends may call from 1 p.m. until the service time. Interment will be in Crown Hill National Cemetery at a later date.
