Mildred Smith

Mildred Anna Smith, 95, of Zionsville died April 6, 2011. Millie was born in Bushton, IL December 25, 1915 to the late Alonzo and Rosa Daugherty Iiams of Charleston, IL. She attended Miliken Universtiy and was a long time accountant at Brandt Fertilizer of Springfield, IL. After retirement, Millie moved to Zionsville, IN in 1978. There she was active at Zionsville Christian Church, Hannah Circle, Young at Hearts, Shepherd Center, and the Boone County Senior Services. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Smith, and her sister, Francis Haines. Millie is survived by her daughter Anne (Michael) Hostetter of Zionsville. She was also loved by her grandchildren, Tim (Leah) Haak, Kathy (Jon) Weed, Kristin (Mark) Plassman, and Jeff Hostetter, all of Zionsville, Kipp (Emily) Hostetter, Brad (Sasha) Hostetter of Westfield, IN, and Kristy (Scott) Anthony of Ocean View, DE. She will also be missed by her 18 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 4 pm with a celebration beginning at 4 pm Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center, 105 W. Pine St., Zionsville, IN 46077. Burial will be at Zionsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Zionsville Christian Church, 120 N. 9th St., Zionsville, IN 46077 or Boone Count y Senior Services 515 Crownpointe Dr., Lebanon, IN 46052.
