Mildred 'Mimi' Collins

Mildred "Mimi" Collins, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home on December 14, 2014 after a long illness. Mimi was born on June 9, 1928 in New York City, NY to Robert and Mildred (Becker) Flockhart. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert D. Collins; 3 children, Linda (Mogens) Hansen of Copenhagen, Denmark, Jeffrey Collins of Huntington Beach, CA and Nancy (Von) Cassidy of Mooresville, IN. Mimi is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents and a sister, Claire Venables of Corinth, NY. Mimi graduated high school in Corinth, NY and attended college in Ithaca, NY. She worked at several banks and retired in 1987 from Syndicate Glass in Speedway, IN. Mimi was an amateur artist and was an avid enthusiast of photography. In retirement she enjoyed traveling the country by RV with her husband, Bob. Mimi was a member of the Speedway Christian Church.
