Mildred 'Millie' (Johnson) Smith

Mildred (Millie) Smith (Johnson), 80 Millie Smith was born in New Bethel, Indiana on December 11, 1932. She entered Heaven's gates on September 5, 2013. Millie was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She devoted her life to her sons and their families. She was a constant source of love and support and her home was the family hub. Millie loved to play the piano and write poems. Her death leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her loved ones. Millie's parents were Margaret and Joe Lewis of New Bethel, Indiana. Millie was predeceased by two loving husbands; Joe Johnson and Jerry Smith. She is survived by her three devoted sons: Randy Johnson and his wife Debbie, son Jeremy and his wife Kathleen; Jeff Johnson and his wife Debbie, son Trevor and his wife Elizabeth and son Nathan and his wife Trisha; and Greg Johnson and his wife Cindy and daughter Amber. Millie had nine great grandchildren: Owen and Hale Johnson; Spencer, Ella and Annalyse Johnson; and Ava Johnson; and Katie and Kara Monko; and Mystic Means. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 11-1 PM at Flanner and Buchanan - Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street. The funeral service celebrating her life will follow at 1:00 PM. May God provide peace for Millie and her loved ones in this time of grief.
