Mildred M. Hayden

December 26, 1922 — June 20, 2024

Mildred (Mid) Hayden (101), Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home, June 20, 2024.

Mid was the third of five children born to Charley and Minnie Judd of Indianapolis, IN. Margaret, Kenneth, Robert, Melvin along with her parents preceded her in death. 

Mid was united in marriage to Edward R. Hayden, November 19, 1941. At the time of Ed’s passing, they had been married fifty-eight years. They had two daughters, Judy Doan (h. Ray – deceased) and Sue McLaughlin (h. Bob – deceased). Seven grandchildren, Rick, Matt, LeeAnn, Mark, James, Linda and Bob (“Bo”), brought them much happiness. All seven grew up spending time with their grandparents at their second home on Lake Shafer. 

In their later years, they welcomed with love, four great grandchildren, Amber, Katelyn, Jacob and Olivia. It was especially pleasing and brought much happiness to Mid when she was graced with Graesyn, Meadow, Wyatt and Lincoln, becoming a great-great grandmother.

Mid was active in the business world more than twenty-nine years. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of American Legion Post – Holt Rd. Strong in her Christian faith, Mid has been a member of Fleming Garden Christian Church since 1954.

Mid and Ed were avid bowlers, 700 and 600 Club Members, they greatly enjoyed the sport. They valued the many friends they made over the years.

A life well-lived, a journey completed. May she rest forever with her loved ones in God’s Great Eternal Garden of Peace.
