Indianapolis, Indiana – Mildred Louise Kramer, 98, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025.
Lousie was born in Carlisle, a small town in West Virginia, to her parents Ira & Maggie (Lawson) Washburn on October 2, 1927. The family moved to Indianapolis in the 40’s, where Louise got a job with Western Electric, staying there for over 30 years before her retirement.
Louise and her beloved husband, Glen Kramer, were married for over 40 years before his untimely passing in 1988. A strong woman who made sure you knew where you stood with her, Louise was a good woman who was devoted to her husband and her family.
Louise loved a good game of poker and was known through her family for her cooking.
In addition to her parents, Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Glen Kramer; children Nick Kramer, Larry Kramer, and Dixie Papaleoni; and siblings Lucy McQuade, Jean Starns, Raymond Washburn, Harold Washburn, and Jimmy Washburn.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Quisenberry, and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229) from 3 – 5 pm. Funeral services will follow at 5 pm. Burial will take place Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 2 pm, at Washington Park East Cemetery
