Mildred Daisy Elizabeth 'Meb' (Smith) Oldham

Mildred Daisy Elizabeth "Meb" Oldham 75 of Indianapolis, IN passed away on January 6, 2014. She was born November 4, 1938 in Sunnyside, New Foundland, Canada to the late Alfred and Virtue Francis Smith. She was the eldest of 12 children. She met Bill Oldham while he was in the U S Air Force and she was serving as a nurse and they were married and she ventured south of the boarder and became a U S Citizen in 1961. She loved making quilts, knitting and was a wonderful seamstress, making her children's clothing while they were growing up. She loved to bowl and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. She worked at the Snack Bar as a Food Server at Western Bowl and previously has worked for over 10 years at Prime Distribution. She is survived by her children, Cathy Barron, Karen Schellenberger, Bill Oldham Jr., Mike Oldham, grandchildren, Jamie, Ronnie, Stephanie, Christina, Michael, Brandon, Marissa, Clifford, Matthew, Ashley, great grandchildren, Calob, Hanna, Talon, Savanna, Natalie, Aiden, Austin, Cameron and two additional, sisters and brothers, Gary, Delcia, Jenny, Ross, Alec, Les, Muriel, and Myrtle. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, brother, Cecil and, her son Derek Wayne Oldham . Services will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 5 PM at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur with visitation there from 1 PM.
