Mildred “Angie” Angelopolous 93 of Indianapolis died August 03, 2016. Angie was born on August 16, 1922 in Indianapolis to George and Helen (Billianis) Angelopolous. Angie graduated from Manuel High School. From 1953-1966 Angie was the secretary to H. Dale Brown Marion County Republican Central Committee. In 1966 she became the executive secretary for the General Manager of the Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation for 25 years retiring in 1991. She was preceded in death by her brother Jimmie and Angelo Angelopolous and sister Aglaia. Angie was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society, Daughters of Penelope, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Zonta Business and Professional Women’s Organization, Northside Welcome Wagon, Arthritis Guild of Indianapolis, Indiana Historical Society, Indiana State Museum, and the Indianapolis Council of Women. Angie was always “on the go” and will always be remembered for her ease of smile, kind words, and genuine concern for others. She was loved by everyone she met. Funeral Services will be held on Monday August 8th at St. George Eastern Orthodox Church 10748 East 116th Street Fishers, IN 46037 at 11 am with calling one hour prior to the service. Angie is survived by her sister Katherine “Katie” Angelopolous. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
