Mildred A. Finchum

Mildred L. (Adams) Finchum 85 of Plainfield formerly Indianapolis died on April 11, 2013. Mildred was born on July 08, 1927 in Massillon, OH to Archibald Matthew and Opal Viola (Anderson) Adams. Mildred was an LPN for Dr. Fred R. Brooks office at 34th St and Lafayette Road in Indianapolis retiring in 1987. Mildred was a former member of 7th and 8th Christian Church and currently a member of Center Community Church in Plainfield. Mildred loved to sing in the Choir and was a soloist and she performed with the I.S.O. She also enjoyed the entertainment and loved to sing at her residence at Meadow Lakes Nursing Home in Mooresville, IN for and with the other residents. She loved her pets Abby and Ms. Kit. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Vernie E. "Red" Finchum in February of this year and now they are reunited in heaven. Calling will be held on Monday April 15 at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway from 4 to 8 pm with the funeral service on Tuesday April 16 at 11 am. Mildred is survived by her sons Roger D. (Barbara) Finchum and Ronald D. (Mary) Finchum; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be given to either church.
