Milagros "Ging" Salazar Jones

Milagros “Ging” Salazar Jones, 71, of Indianapolis passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born November 19, 1952, in Manila, Philippines, the daughter of the late Juanito Salazar and Isabel Banawa.  She married Judge Jones on Valentine’s day in 1987.

Ging was a Premium Audit Tech for Selective Insurance for more than 10 years, where she was a valued member of their team. She loved to work in her yard, cross-stitching, and was an animal lover, especially to her favorite chihuahuas. She was a woman of faith, and her family was the most important piece of her life.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, and sister who will be forever missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Judge Jones; two daughters, Regina (Dustin) Bunting and Isabelle (Austin) Fiesel; four grandchildren, Kamille Bunting, Cadence, Eli, and Carter Fiesel; and two siblings, Teresita Castillo and Carlos (Alicia) Salazar.  She was preceded in passing by parents; brother, Joe Salazar; sister Lourdes (Joey) Baltazar and brother-in-law, Rick Castillo.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. 

In honor of Ging's love of the Philippines, the family requests memorial contributions to benefit a local Filipino school.  Contributions may be directed to the family and they will forward to the Philippines in Ging's memory.
