Michelle Manker

Michelle R Manker 42, of Fishers, IN passed away April 13, 2013 with her family at her side. Michelle was born in Danville, IN on June 20, 1970 to parents, Roy and Diana (Sheets) Schober. Michelle graduated from Plainfield High school then attended Ivy Tech where she studied computer programming. Michelle was an avid animal rescuer that loved to work with exotics and wildlife. She was a licensed wildlife rehabilitator through the DNR and trained with FEMA to rescue animals impacted by natural disasters. She received the Channel 6 Leadership Award in 2005 for her efforts in saving local wildlife and for the education classes she taught at local shelters and schools. In 2006 she became president and founder of A Critters Chance, Inc. which is known as one of the top rescue organizations in the state. She loved riding motorcycles with her husband, attending NHRA and NASCAR events, listening to music and reading in her spare time. Michelle was preceded in death by her brother; Kyle Schober and will lovingly be missed by her husband of 11 years Pat Manker, son; Jason Schober, parents; Roy and Diana Schober, brothers; Mark Schober and Matt Schober as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday April 19 from 4-8 pm at Flanner and Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Good Shepherd Chapel, followed by a service on Saturday at 11 am with a calling at 10 am.
