Michael R. Hayes, Jr.,

51, of Vallonia, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017. Mike was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 1, 1966 to Michael Hayes, Sr. and Brenda Powell.

Mike was a genius extraordinaire and jack of all trades. He loved working on race cars, fishing and spending time with his family. But most of all, he loved caring for his dogs. He was nice to everyone, even if they didn’t deserve it.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Donna Miller, and beloved dog, Leo. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Christina M. Hayes; children Tommy Hayes (Carrie), Tyler Hayes, Taylor Hayes, Micah Criscillies (Justin) and Cody Garmon; fur babies, Trudy the cat, Lilli, Alvan, Adelaide, Aurora, Maleficant, Prince, Lola and the Bruiser brothers; siblings, Starla Banther (Marvin) and Nikki Saunders (Joe); grandchildren, Bryce, Brandon, Maison, Nevaeh, Ashley and Paisley; father-in-law, William Miller; nieces and nephews, Tallon Owens, Trisheena Redman (David), Tiffany Saunders, Thea Saunders, Sarah Pearce, Haley Pearce, Alexis Pearce and Eryn Pearce; grand dogs, Sammi, Sammy, Margarete, Margie and Sampson.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 11am-3pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3pm.
