Michael E. Pasch, age 62, of Midland, Michigan, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on February 3, 2026. Michael was born on August 16, 1963, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Herbert and Joy (Schreiber) Pasch.
Michael was a graduate of Decatur High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army. He entered service as a Combat Medic and dedicated 20 years of his life to caring for others, rising through the ranks during a distinguished military career marked by commitment, resilience, and compassion. Following his retirement from the Army, Michael continued his life of service in the civilian world, working for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) at Fort Benjamin Harrison, where he retired for the second time.
Michael was a true outdoorsman at heart and a man who could not sit still. He was always moving, always working on something, and always eager to try something new. He enjoyed browsing auction sites, discovering new trinkets, and finding a new hobby to take on each year. In his spare time, he loved deer hunting, duck hunting, boar hunting, fishing, and camping. Throughout his life, he also enjoyed motorcycles, owning several over the years, and traveling whenever he could.
After moving to Michigan, Michael took on one of his most prideful passions, making maple syrup from the trees in his own backyard. He was incredibly proud of the syrup he harvested and loved sharing it with family and friends. Anyone who received a bottle knew how much pride he took in it and how good it truly was.
Michael’s greatest love was his family, to whom he was deeply devoted to. He cherished time with his children, offering his wisdom whenever it was needed, sometimes welcomed and sometimes not. He was always quick to help and was known as the family handyman, ready to step in for any project, whether finished or forever in progress. To his grandchildren, Michael was a devoted and adored Opa, sharing a special and unique bond with each of them that they will carry with them always.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Joy Pasch, and his brother, Herbert Pasch.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Linda Pasch; his children, Jennifer and Chad Goings, Lindsay and Billy Couch, and Marcia Pasch; his stepchildren, Kara and Bradley Keyes, and John and Kali Bagley; and his grandchildren, Destiny Demaree, Billy Couch Jr., Teagan Couch, Kyah Johnson, Bella Johnson, Gage Hauersperger, Leo, Aria and Griffin Keyes, and Brooke and Evan Bagley. He is also survived by his siblings, Judi Pasch, Staci Yohey, and Neil and Sandy Pasch, along with many other loving family members and friends.
Friends may gather with the family from 11am until 1pm, on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis), where his memorial service will immediately follow, beginning at 1pm. Inurnment will follow services in Washington Park East Cemetery.
