Hailing from Indianapolis, Michael embarked on a fulfilling journey that intertwined service to his country and unwavering dedication to his loved ones. Graduating from Community College before honorably serving in the United States Navy and the National Guard during the Vietnam War, he exemplified courage and commitment throughout his military career.

Michael was not just a man of duty; he was a beacon of joy and laughter to all who crossed his path. His magnetic personality ensured that no room remained unfamiliar, effortlessly weaving connections wherever he went. Whether sharing a hearty laugh with a well-timed joke or preparing a delicious meal for family and friends, Michael's warmth and generosity were boundless.

His interests were as diverse as they were cherished - from his love for cooking and travel alongside his beloved wife Deborah to indulging in rounds of golf, bowling adventures, memorable fishing trips, and spirited poker games. However, one of his proudest accomplishments later in life was spreading happiness through delivering flowers, a task at which he excelled in brightening countless lives.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by his surviving family, children, Machelle (Jason) Broom; son, Michael (Tina) McCarthy; Wendy (Kevin) Hudson, Douglas (Heather) Warren, William Warren; brother, Dennis McCarthy, along with 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and his special friend Pamela Davis. He is reunited in eternal peace with his wife, Deborah McCarthy; son, Thomas Warren; granddaughter, Elisha Coombs; brothers Steve McCarthy, Daniel McCarthy, Patrick McCarthy; and his parents Michael T. McCarthy and Irene McCarthy.
