Michael Francis Maddox

Michael “Mike” Francis Maddox, 74, of Lebanon, formerly of Westfield Indiana, passed away on November 4, 2026. He was born on August 16, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to parents, the late Francis and Anna Mae (Wright) Maddox.

Mike was a graduate of North Central High School. He met his wife, Michelle, on a blind date, and the two were married on June 8, 1974. They shared 37 wonderful years of marriage before her passing.

Mike dedicated 23 years of service to the City of Westfield as the Superintendent of the Street, Water, and Sewer Departments, overseeing these important areas of the community until his retirement.

After retirement, Mike truly enjoyed being able to relax and spend his days doing whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. He appreciated the freedom to enjoy life at his own pace and make the most of his well-earned retirement.

Mike is survived by his children, Kimberly Gettings, Kurtis (Sarah) Maddox; grandchildren, Brianna Gettings (Jake Lee), Jacob (Kenzie) Gettings, Autumn Maddox; great-grandchildren, Lance Gettings, June Gettings, Jean Gettings; former son-in-law, Jason (Pam) Gettings; partner, Martha Gibbs; siblings, Tim (Pat) Maddox, Teresa Beikes; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Michelle Maddox, and brother, Ronald Cecil.

Visitation for Mike will be from 5 – 8 pm on Monday, November 16, 2026, at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters), 4180 Westfield Road, Westfield, IN 46062. Additional Visitation will be from 12 pm – 1 pm, on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, with a funeral service immediately following at 1 pm. Burial will take place at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boone County Humane Society in Mike's memory.
