Michael L. Nowlin

Michael L. Nowlin passed away after a short illness on July 31, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.  Mike was 79 years old.  He graduated in 1962 from Anderson High School, served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1965 to 1967.  He graduated from Anderson College in 1971 and enjoyed a long career in insurance claims until his retirement in 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Betty Nowlin, son, Jon Nowlin, brother Steven Nowlin, and sister Pamela Sue Nowlin Robertson.  Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Ganger Nowlin, son Matthew Nowlin and wife Merle Nowlin, sister Penny Nowlin Gara and her husband Kevin Gara.  He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Kate, Meghan, Liam, and Hannah Nowlin, 2 nieces, Jessica Martin, Kelly Gara, and 2 great nieces, Emma and Robin Martin, and other extended family.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church, 6131 Michigan Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46260 on August 8, 2023, with visitation from 10 am to 12 and Mass at 12 noon. Interment will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery on Wednesday, August 9 at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Monica Church.
