Michael Robert Klingensmith

Michael R. (Mike) Klingensmith, 63, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away peacefully December 29, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.

Born in Akron, Ohio Mike was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. From there he went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from The University of Mount Union, where he was a proud member of the Purple Raiders Football Team and Alpha Tao Omega Fraternity.

Mike was a very proud father who enjoyed coaching and participating in his son's sports. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survived by his wife Laura (Leyden) Klingensmith, and his sons Alex (Lexi) Klingensmith and Kyle Klingensmith. Mike was a much loved "Papaw" to his grandchildren Brenley Lynn & Beckham Michael Klingensmith. Sisters Michele Twente, Georgianne (Kevin) Green, and Jill (John) Elseg; along with loving nephews, niece, cousins and countless close friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Rita Klingensmith, in-laws Joe and Kay Leyden and brother in-law Darrell Twente.

Mike will be remembered for his kind heart, great sense of humor, generosity and deep love for his family and friends. Mike will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His spirit will live on in the hearts of the many people whose lives he touched.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life to honor Mike will be announced at a later date.
