Michael J. Rokusek, 60 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on May 24, 2015. Michael was born on February 8, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Leonard and Ila (Schlentz) Rokusek. Michael was a machine operator for Geiger&Peters the past years. He was a graduate of Denver Automotive and Diesel College. Michael was very musically talented playing the Acoustic and Bass Guitars and most recently playing the Mandolin. Michael also played the Saxophone. Michael was a member of the NRA and loved to ride motorcycles. He was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his family especially his granddaughter. He was described as a very patient, easy going, quiet caring person that never had an enemy and will be missed by many. Michael was a member of the New Beginning's Assembly of God in Indianapolis, IN. Michael leaves his wife, Joleen Rokusek whom he married on August 7, 1976, his children, Anna and Thomas Rokusek, granddaughter, Maddi Rokusek, sisters, Fran Hercik, Jean Rokusek Richardson, Joanna Maurer, Theresa Rokusek, brothers, John and Tony Rokusek. Services will be held on Saturday, June ,6 2015 at 1pm at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur Township with visitation there Friday, June 5th 4-8 PM and Saturday 1 hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, Indiana.
