Michael E. Powell, 63, Carmel, passed away January 14, 2015. He was born June 28, 1951, in Noblesville, the son of the late Doris and Olive (Palmer) Powell. He married Marlene (Coffey) Powell, on October 14, 1978.
Mike retired from Carmel Concrete as a truck driver. After retiring, Mike enjoyed a rewarding career entertaining people as an Elvis tribute artist. He was a repeated performer at the Moose Lodge in Speedway, and various nursing homes, assisted living facilities, American Legions and V.F.W.'s.
He attended Lighthouse Tabernacle and Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 716 and loved working on cars.
Mike is survived by his wife, Marlene Powell; two sons, T.J. (Tami) Powell and Michael A. Powell; three grandsons, Brody, Bryce, and Christian; birthmother, Barbara Mills; brother, Jim Powell; and beloved dogs, Sparky and Fritz. He was preceded in passing by a sister, Zonda Raines; and three brothers, Sonny Powell, Charlie Powell and Dale Davis.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Flanner and Buchanan – Hamilton, 4180 Westfield Road. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
