Michael James DiSanto April 7, 1971 – September 11, 2026

Michael James DiSanto, 55, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 11, 2026. Born on April 7, 1971, in Syracuse, New York, Michael’s life was best defined by a love of family, friends, sports and an unmatched sense of humor.

Michael graduated from Warren Central High School in 1989, where his signature baritone voice became a significant part of who he was, especially in the school’s choir and Madrigal programs. He went on to Ball State University, majoring in Business and Marketing, where he became a proud brother of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. In addition to holding various leadership positions within the chapter, Michael is credited with the award-winning rendition of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” — a song he had on repeat for every SAE function. He later was invited to sing at the weddings of countless fraternity brothers and friends and never once turned down a chance to grab the mic at a karaoke lounge.

Michael built a career that is increasingly rare among his generation: nearly three decades at a single company, Resort Condominiums International (RCI), from 1994 to 2022. He made the most of every travel benefit he was afforded, including vacationing with his family at his favorite resorts in Orlando, the Caribbean, French Lick, and Hilton Head.

An avid golfer, Michael loved to play with his father and friends at Maple Creek, Winding Ridge, and Ironwood, and held dear his framed scorecard of an elusive double eagle. Off the course, he was equally serious about fishing, forever in pursuit of the “big one” at the water’s edge of ponds and reservoirs in Indy, and couldn’t resist rooting for the Indianapolis Colts and the Minnesota Vikings, win or lose.

Above all else, he loved being a father and enjoyed seeing his children through all their accomplishments. He always signed every birthday, graduation or Christmas card with, “Proud Dad.”

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, James and Judy DiSanto.

He is survived by his children, Emma Jane DiSanto, Abby Maria DiSanto, and Jacob Michael DiSanto; his brother, Jeffrey David DiSanto (Faith); his godson, Michael James DiSanto; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved to be entertained by his antics and infectious sense of humor.

A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m., on Friday, October 9, at Flanner  Buchanan - Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, with a private burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Fairbanks Recovery Center in Michael's memory.
