-Michael Damon "Mike" Sefton
58 of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully at his home on April 7, 2014. He was born on January 15, 1956 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Thomas Emerson and Wanetta Louise (Love) Sefton. He was retired as a hard working laborer from International Laborer and Hod Carriers Local #120 for 30 years retiring in 2007. In May 1987 Mike married the love of his life, Karen Lorraine Anserello. Together they had two sons, Nicholas Damon and Jacob Carl Sefton, both of whom he was very proud of. Their immediate family also includes Mike's beloved dog, Buster.Mike is also survived by his sister, Debra(Norm) Culbertson, brothers, Thomas (Marilyn), Jerry, Doug Sefton, several nieces and nephews. Mike is preceded in death by both his parents. Mike enjoyed doing things with his family and was an excellent provider. He was a very active member of VFW Post #1587 and frequently volunteered for remodeling projects with them. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed playing cards, bee keeping, gardening, and virtually anything to do that involved being outside and near water. He enjoyed swimming, jet skiing and boating. Mike had a wonderful sense of humor which will truly be missed. His talents also included being an excellent cook, baker and being the generous person he was would share the fruits of his labor including his famous honey, jalapeno jelly, zucchinni bread, chocolate- covered cherries, and raspberry pies. Mike had a tremendously giving spirit and generous heart. He was a dear friend and neighbor of many and you could count on him to be there when you needed a helping hand whenever it was needed. Services will be Friday,April 11, 2014 11 AM at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway with visitation there Thursday, April 10th 3-8PM. He will be laid to rest at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
