Michael D. Brinkman

77, of Avon, Indiana, passed away on September 20, 2021.  Michael was born on April 11, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Alonzo and Betty Brinkman.  He was a 1962 graduate of Pike High School.  He was a retired Colonel in the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam and the Gulf War during Desert Storm.  He was a member of the American Legion.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Brinkman; brother Ray Glenn Brinkman and his parents.  He is survived by his children, Michael Shane Brinkman, Muffett Brinkman and LaDonna (Jason) Everroad and grandchildren, Cade, Allura, Konnor, Maranda, Kavan and Mason.  Visitation will be Friday, October 1, 2021 from noon till 2 pm, with funeral service at 2 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park.  Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans HERE or Lifeline For Vets HERE .  For those choosing not to attend in person, a livestream of the funeral service can be accessed here: https://view.oneroomstreaming.com/authorise.php?k=1632955825139679
