Michael “Mike” Steven Curran, 76, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on January 1, 2024. He was born on September 12, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to parents, John “Jack” Curran, Sr. and Betty (Jones) Curran.

On July 3, 1974, Mike married the love of his life, Paula (Wright) Curran, sharing 49 years of love and adventure together. During their many years together, Mike and Paula raised two sons and he found great joy in spending time with his family. His love for them knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent together creating beautiful memories.

After completing his high school education, Mike was accepted at Purdue University before immediately being drafted into the Army. His dedication and commitment were evident during his years of military service. He served his country honorably and made invaluable contributions throughout his time in the Army. Upon completion of his time in the military, Mike went on to earn an accounting degree from Butler University.

Mike was a proud father and grandfather, always supporting his sons and grandchildren through life. He took great pride in coaching his son's intermural sports and little league teams when they were young. Their special bond continued through adulthood as Mike was always a supportive father and friend. He loved attending his grandchildren's events and was always their biggest fan.

One of Mike's favorite hobbies was golfing. Known as "Iron Mike" by his golf buddies, he thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie that came with the sport. His skill on the course was impressive, earning him two holes in one at Indian Lake. However, it was the friendship he formed through golf that truly made it special for him. Mike valued those connections dearly and cherished every round played alongside his closest friends and family.

To cherish his memory, Mike leaves behind his loving wife of almost 50 years, Paula Curran; sons, Nick (April) Curran and David (Stephanie) Curran; and his grandchildren, Alyssa, Ash, Kaitlyn, and Kaelynn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John “Jack” and Betty Curran; and siblings, John Curran, Jr., Ronald Curran and Jackie Shafer.
