Michael A. Daly, Jr.
88, Indianapolis, passed away October 29, 2013. Michael was born in Indianapolis on January 8, 1925 to parents, Michael A. Daly, Sr. and Doris (Jones) Daly.
Michael served his country during WWII in the Marine Corp. He was a member of the DAV and Ft. Harrison VFW Post #7119. He retired from Naval Avionics in 1980 where he worked as an Engineering Technician in tool design.
Michael was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and an avid sports enthusiast. In his youth, he was very talented in baseball, football, golf and bowling, and had enjoyed coaching with the Catholic Youth Organization.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine (Leamon) Daly and son, Kevin Daly. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Green (husband, Travis); son, Daniel Daly (companion, Pam Joy); grandchildren: Kevin Daly (wife, Evy) and Dustin Green; great-grandchildren: Kevin, Elizabeth, Hannah and Andrew; and sisters, Charlotte Blankenship, Margie Gent and Mary Lambert.
Calling will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013 in Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013 in the funeral center. Entombment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
