Melva Wertenberger

Melva Wertenberger,

93 years old,of Maxwell, Indiana went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 7, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Melva was born in Mecca, Indiana to the late Robert E. Lee and Ivan Lawrence. She lived a long and prosperous life along with many accomplishments. One of the accomplishments she cherished most was being there for her family and friends. Melva was there to help anyone in need; she was known for her loving and generous spirit to all who knew her.

Melva Wertenberger is survived by her loving children, Eleanor Russman (John), Mark Wertenberger (Cindy), and Ernest Wertenberger, Jr. ( Mirabel); 5 grandchildren, James Donald Russman (Jessica), Eric Andrew Russman, Alisha Rene Russman (Evan), Levi Paul Wertenberger (Rachelle), and Nicholas Ryan Wertenberger; 2 great grandchildren, Carter and Callie. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest John Wertenberger and parents; sisters, Theades Stutler, Edith Howell, Violet Terry, and Rosalie O’Neal.

Family and Friends may gather from 5:00pm-8:00pm Sunday, July 10, 2016 with Funeral Service Monday, July 11, 2016 at 2:00pm in Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
