Indianapolis, IN

Melissa “Missi” LeVay Cage, 65, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away on May 22, 2025. She was born on July 1, 1959, in Indianapolis, to MG and Dru LeVay.

Missi was a proud graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis and attended Indiana University Bloomington. Following her education, Missi carried on a nearly century-old family legacy as a highly successful, award-winning internet marketing consultant for Thomas Register of New York, following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather.

Missi was a loving wife, stepmother, and grandmother. Her warmth and generosity shone brightly in her everyday life. She was known for her delightful gifting, gag gifts, thank-you notes, and her handmade creations, particularly her cross-stitch projects and hand-crafted quilts.

Missi was an avid quilter and took great pride in her needle arts. Cooking was another passion of hers, and she enjoyed preparing meals that brought family and friends together. Her love for high school and college basketball added to her vibrant lifestyle, as she regularly attended games and cheered on her favorite teams: Indiana, Alabama, and Vanderbilt.

Missi’s warmth and talents left a lasting impact on her family and community. She lived her life with a vibrant spirit, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Missi is survived by her loving spouse, Keith; stepchildren, Dan (Anna) Cage and Greg Cage; grandchildren, Emerson Rose Cage (age 4) and Dominic Cage (age 2); mother, Dru LeVay Knarr; sister, Cynthia L. (Matt) Austin; niece, Kate A. Barton; and nephew, Graham Austin.
