Melinda L. Memmer

Melinda Lou Memmer, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away February 18th, 2026. She was born January 13th, 1947, in Batesville, Indiana to parents Letha and Millard Harman Jr.

Melinda grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Lawrence Central High School. She continued her education at University of Evansville.

Melinda worked as a medical assistant and office manager for many years, a career in which she excelled and enjoyed.

Melinda was a loving, independent lady. She enjoyed her alone time but always loved seeing her family as often as she could. Melinda was an expert baker and was famous among her family and friends for her delicious treats. She had a soft spot for animals, especially cats, loving many pets throughout her life.

She is survived by her sister-in-law (Carla Harman), nieces (Natalie, Caitlin, Mara and Evy), nephews (Nicholas and Van), and many loving cousins.

 Melinda is preceded in death by her parents, Letha and Millard Harman, and her brother Phillip Harman.

Melinda will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery on pending date. This obituary page will be updated promptly. 

 Guests are welcome to gather at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center 15 minutes prior, so everyone can process to the graveside together.
