Dr. Melanie Margiotta Linehan
53, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2015. She was born November 24, 1961 in Oak Park, IL to Vincent and Florie Margiotta.

She had a fulfilling career as a Family Practice Physician with a specialty in Addiction, dedicated to her patients and educating residents. Her Catholic faith was the center of her life leading her to fulfill her dream of opening a faith based office, the St. Maximillian Kolbe Center, serving those struggling with addictions. Inspired by the needs of her Catholic community, Dr. Melanie opened the St. Gianna Fertility Care Center. Her mission continues through her dedicated staff and community. She was a woman full of life and energy always giving of herself to her family, friends and patients.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, John Linehan; parents Vincent and Florie Margiotta: children Brie Anne and Ryan (Rebecca) Eichhorn, Maria, Alyssa, Jason and David (Marisel) Linehan, Charles Butterfield and 11 grandchildren; siblings Aissa (Joe), Dan (Jan), Sean (Donna), Drake (Lisa) and Celenne (Allan); and countless friends and patients who have been touched by her faithful and generous heart.

Calling will be held on November 9th and November 10th from 4 to 8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Broad Ripple. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 11th at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Drive at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Maximillian Kolbe Center, 1803 Broad Ripple Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220.
