McKenzie Cory Adams, age 39, left this world too soon on January 5, 2026. He was born to Charles Adams Sr and Cassandra Adams on September 29, 1986 in Indianapolis IN. McKenzie was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend whose presence brought light and joy to those around him.
McKenzie known by friends and family as “Kenzie” or “Cory” was a graduate of Greensberg Christian Academy. Throughout his life, he was known for his larger-than-life personality, crazy sense of humor, and love for cooking. He was a self-proclaim master chef and thought of himself as a foodie. He had a natural way of making people feel comfortable and valued, and his laughter contagious.
Above all, McKenzie loved being a dad. His daughters, Anastasia Adams and Aryal Adams, were the center of his world, and his love for them was evident in everything he did. From braiding and flat ironing hair to taking them to their basketball games and school events.
Left to honor his memory are his children Anastasia Adams and Aryal Adams; sisters, Sonya Exford (Daniel Exford), Katherine Adams, Lenia Adams, and Sarah Page (Nathan Page); his brother, Charles Adams; 14 nieces and nephews; and a host of aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Adams Sr; his mother, Cassandra Adams; his sister, Laquita Adams; and his brother, Aaron Adams.
McKenzie will be remembered for his big heart, and the love he shared so freely. Though his time with us was far too short, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Memorial visitation of food and fellowship will be Friday January 23rd, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 3-4pm. His memorial service will begin at 4pm.
