Maxine Bowen

Maxine Bowen, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 12, 2015. She was born on November 13, 1934 in Finley, Ohio, to the late George and Lola Marshall. She was one of eleven children. Maxine was married to the late Rollie Bowen, whom she originally met as a pen pal. The two were married and had five children together. Maxine was a homemaker, and spent her time loving and nurturing her own children as well as the children of the neighborhood around her. She was a warm and caring soul, looking out for anyone that needed help. Maxine is preceded in death by her devoted husband, her two sons Danny (Sheila) Bowen, Lenny Bowen; and her siblings Millie, Eathy, Ressie and Kathryn. She is survived by her children, Sue Anne Bowen, Dorothy (Chester) Watkins, and Linda (Ray) Jones; and her grandchildren, Darelle Monday, Connie Monday, Chrissy Moore, Corey Adzick, Matt Bowen, Robert Jones and Candace Jones; as well as 19 great-grandchildren.
