Max K Kelly

Max K. Kelly, passed away on October 3, 2023, at the age of 83.  Max was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 22, 1940, to parents, Donald and Mabel E. (Lipp) Kelly.  He graduated from George Washington High School and worked in customer service with Peerless Pump, during his career.  Max was dedicated to his wife, family and above all, his Father in Heaven.  Max served in many capacities as a lay minister.  He also enjoyed bowling, ships, and classic cars.

Max was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mabel; his loving wife, Judy C. (Patterson) Kelly; and siblings: Don Kelly, Gene Kelly, Sharon Terhune and Beverly Watkins.

Max is survived by his daughters, Debra Kelly, Arlene Mahaney (Mark) and Darlene Kincaid (Jeff); grandchildren: Kristen Nelson (Brian), Trent Mahaney (Hanna), Aaron Kelly (Stephanie), Adam Kincaid, Megan Kincaid, and Ben Kincaid; great-grandchildren: Kaden and Kori Nelson, Olivia and Max Kelly; and siblings: Paul Kelly, Glenda McAtee (Scotty) and Ronnie Kelly (Bonnie).

Family visitation will be held from 10am until 11am, friends may call from 11am until 1pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis), where funeral services will immediately follow, beginning at 1pm.  Max will be laid to rest with his wife, Judy in Washington Park East Cemetery following services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
