Maurice J. Weakly

Maurice J. "Joe" Weakly Age 85, went home into the Lords arms on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in Monrovia MD. Born on June 28, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN to the late William F. and Gertrude (Hensley) Weakly. He was the beloved husband of the late Hesterine (Huntsman) Weakly. Maurice served proudly in the U S Navy during WWII. He worked as a Machinist for Schwitzer Corporation and retired in 1981. He was a member of the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge #162 F & AM, Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #513. He was a member at First General Baptist Church of Indianapolis, IN and enjoyed singing in the choir. Maurice was an avid NASCAR and sports fan. He is survived by his son, David Weakly and wife Alice of Monrovia, MD, step-sons, Chuck Huntsman and wife Alberta of Indianapolis, IN, Don Huntsman and wife Donna of Mooresville, IN, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-8:00 pm on Sunday, November 20 at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur, 5463 Kentucky Ave., Indianapolis, IN. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 21 at the funeral home. Maurice will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery- Greenwood, IN.
