Maureen Fitzpatrick Mcqueen

Maureen Fitzpatrick McQueen 71 of Indianapolis died peacefully on August 29, 2012. The daughter of Maurice and Esther (Wheatley) Fitzpatrick, Maureen was born on September 6, 1940 in Indianapolis. In 1967 she married Richard McQueen of Indianapolis, IN. Maureen was a devoted member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church for 45 years. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1958. She was a member of the Marion County Children's Guardian Home Guild. Maureen never met a stranger and always had a positive outlook on everything. She loved spending time with her family and friends but most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved granddaughter, and was always ready and excited to see her play in volleyball games/tournaments. Maureen is survived by her loving family, husband, Richard, son Jeff (Lisa) McQueen, granddaughter, Miranda "Randi" McQueen, sisters, Sharon (Jerry) Huber, Sandy (Michael) Zander, Marcia (Charles) Anderson, brothers, Dennis (Joan) Fitzpatrick and Brian (Clare) Fitzpatrick. Friends may call from 4-8 pm on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
